My Dear Sister
James wishes you accept
his apology from me
not replying to your letter
having no news interest to you
seeing very seldom any
our country people
any news importance as
few moments would write
a letter he thanks you
for being so kind with
parties that done him
a favour he hopes he wont
die until he returns
compliments left on him
due many parties
James inquired about
Mr. Woods son he died
in hospital had the priest
a few friends took him out
and buried him
The evening news 14th July
gave account Mr Reynolds
return for the country
Great rejoicings I am sure
his picture looks good in
the Courier - We felt sorry
about Mr Montagues death
You say McMullan has
got situation in Belfast
that is good he sold his
store after his wifes death
and went to the old country
What about Mrs Steele does
there come any word from
her Mr Cunningham
buried his daughter some
time ago Mr Henry Loughran
Brother Gim [Jim?] spends a Sunday
afternoon with us about
every 2 months, James
and him were friends in
early years in Dungannon
and seems always fond
James dreamt few times
about Ned Mullen he hopes
there is nothing the matter
with him Tyrone men
had their excursion Sunday
week last - I have not
went from home all
this summer & not to any
of the beaches - I am
got real old screw
this last year hates [past?]
with a cent I hope
your health is good
do not get mad at James
he is so good and kept
so busy such great
business getting into that
office every day he is a
general favourate [favourite?]
and willing all calling our
Mr Hagan makes it like
home long ago extra
work left for him
However he is satisfied
with Boss and work
he wishes you give his kind
regards to all friends I hope
little Miss McShane are
very kind with you with best
wishes to them and you
hoping soon hear from
you with fondest love
