Transcript | Apral [April?] 29 1891 My Dear Cousin i once more take the pleasure of ritting [writing?] you a few lines to let you know that i am well thank God for all his kind mercy to me i still work in the old place yet And i dont intend to lave [leave?] it to i am better i think you have a pritty [pretty?] hard life to live as well as my self i think from before you have told me your work is not very pleasant it makes me wonder at your stoping [stopping?] there for a girl that lives out here in the city of new york i think they have a very good time And there are plenty of places for every one And it is good and helthy [healthy?] here all the time Annie i should like to have you come on here very much but yet in the other (sic) hand if you like it better wher [where?] you are i would never alow [allow?] you to come her [here?] i dont think that i would like to go there to work with A farmer i think that it would come pritty [pretty?] hard on me to do so [far?] i think that i can do better where i am at preasant [present?] you told me you did not have a letter from Cousan [cousin?] Bellia [Bella?] for some time i would very well to hear from her i would like to have hir [her?] Adress [address?] if you would send it in your next letter for i would like to right [write?] to her very well My dear Cousan [cousin?] i have not got very much to say for this time And i must draw to a close by bidding you good night And remember me as you truley [truly?] George Barton 172 Waler street Brooklyn |
