Dear Uncle
I now take the pleasure of
answering your kind and welcome
letter we received a yesterday (sic) we are all
glad to hear of all our friends being
well as we are all well at present.
Dear uncle my father would have wrote
himself only he is on night work and
he be tired when he comes home or
he would have wrote himself. he told
me to let you know as we dont know
much about that place where John
[was?] wrote after as it is nearly three
quarters of on hour walk from our
house so my father said he will make
enquires and see about business so he too
is going up at about eleven or twelve on
saturday morning and then he will be
able to let you know more about it as
he will be able to see if they have much
custom so he will write on saturday
afternoon and let you know what he
has to say about it.
_______

Dear uncle my father said it is very
good money for him [as?] as for his washing
he will get a white shirt washed and
starched and ironed for three pence
two shirts will do him for a week
and a few white jackets and a couple
of aprons and a cotton shirt will do
him after a while so he wont want
much and he will get his collars and
fronts done for three half pence each
so if he did not care for it my father
said he could get him on the railway
later on as they are slack yet a wile [while?]
so if he is thinking of coming let him
come a few weeks before hand as he
will have a look round the town and
see something of it as he will be
[here?] a long time till he get used to
the places so if any of you are coming
with him let us know in time as
we will know what is do for fear my
father may, be on night duty as
well as billy so if any of you are
coming with John let us know and
my father can get off a few hours
earlier so dont forget and someone
of us will meet him.
Dear uncle my father said it is
not worth while going a [at?] the begining
[beginning?] of the week as they are nearly
all [order?] on so he will leave it till
Saturday that is the [busissest?] day in
Liverpool and he can Judge for himself what
to do as he will write on Saturday
and let you know without fail.
Dear uncle my father is at liberty
on the 21st day of June this year
and he has been after two jobs one
at a theatre and another at a booking
office so I cant say for sure which
he is going to go to for one is 18/-
and the other is a £1.0.0 a week so
I dare say he will be letting you hear
all about it when he writes on Saturday
Dear uncle we had two letters from
Tommy this month the first for
nearly four months we were awful
upset at him not writing my father
was going to write to the war office
when he received the letters from
him he is well hearty and in
good spirts.

Dear uncle we have Jack and bobby
out of work this last six weeks
Jack is starting at the chair making
on monday morning and bobby
is in bed bad since monday
with a severe cold it has all set
in his legs and cant stand (sic) we had
to fetch a doctor to him this morning
so he is a lot better this afternoon.
I think I have all this time
No more at present To
