Dear Cousin I have never heard of Tommy since he went away as he only came here once until he went away as he said he may (sic) coming back again and he never returned as he thought more of his pals than what he thought of his own as I am very glad to say I never troubled him for anything or any of the rest of the family Dear Cousin I am glad you are pleased with the babys [baby s?] photo but as soon as I get the rest I will send Tilda one. Tell her I am very sorry to hear about uncle and willy as he would laugh to see the picture Dear Cousin I am very much obliged to my aunt Mary for the pinafore as it is rather small but it [I?] wont [won t?] cut anything as it will come in (sic) as it wont [won t?] be wasted as it is very pretty I believe Tommy is alright by what I can hear from talk. I asked him if he bought any butter and he said he only bought about a pound and I believe three of [or?] four neighbours could get some and some eggs as he never told me anything about uncle or Willie Gilkie being dead. the people here are dying like rotten sheep it is terrible to see the funerals passing up and down the streets old and young. Dear Cousin I think I have said all this Time as I have not much to say at present. No more at present from Lizzie Jerome to her Cousin B,M,S, [Bella Smyth?] write soon |
