Transcript | Crafton Pa. [Pennsylvania?] June 19- 1900 Gentlemen, Thankyou very much for your trouble and prompitude in the matter of the legacy. I enclose receipt. Your charge has been very small indeed. I do not know whether I have had the pleasure of an acquaintance with any member of your firm, but I spent many pleasant days in Armagh as a boy and a young man between 1858 and 1871. At that time a Mr. Thomas G. Peel was a solicitor in Armagh, and may have been father or uncle of one of you. I knew very well a boy named McBride son of a solictor near the Methodist Church, Thanking you very much for your pains and advice, the charge for which seems to have been merely nominal, Believe me Very faithfully yours, G. Chapman Jones Messrs. Joshua E. Peel & Son- Armagh- Crafton Pa. [Pennsylvania?] June 19- 1900 Received from Messrs. Joshua E. Peel & Son Bank Post Bill for ÷248..10..0 being amount of legacy to me by the will of Surgoen [surgeon?] - Major Lynn of Armagh - G. Chapman Jones |
