I hope you will rite [write?] again to me and let me kno [know?] how you are and the rest of the familey [family?] is and Sam I am freting [fretting?] about him because he has left you and went out into the Stranger I am afraid it is a step in the dark I hope not please let me kno [know?] about him as soon as you can and you will oblidge [oblige?] your Ever loving Grandfather I think Joseph knoes [knows?] that John and Shusan [Susan?] is in America and there is three fine boys at home yet good smiths The rest of the familey [family?] is well and working away as usual wee [we?] are all well and I hope this will find you all in good health babey [baby?] and all my own health is fairley [fairly?] good for the age I will give you more News in my next letter.
