Transcript | [no envelope] April 3rd 1925 Mr James A Smyth 446 Church Street Windsor, Ontario Dear Mr Smyth, Your letter of April 1st, in Reference to an extra-mural course, is received. Our records show that in 1907 you registered as an extra-mural student, submitting all certificates. Your standing was full Pass Matriculation, and an allowance of four subjects on Upper School, - English 1, History 1, Mathematics 1 And Physics 1. This credit will stand towards your B.A. degree, and you may register for summer work in two subjects of first year not already granted. These would be Latin and another language. If you have since written other Upper School examinations you may change your allowance, but must in that case submit all certificates. I find that the Physics was added afterwards by Mr. Chown, since you lacked only one mark of the requirement at that time. Under present regulations we require 50%. I enclose a registration blank, and am sending you an Arts calendar under separate cover. A folder on how to plan a B.A. Course is also sent. You would be permitted to take a science for summer work in place of the second language, if you prefer, since you need two science courses for the degree. Yours very truly. Alice King AK/AC R.F.Prev. A. Cal B.A.Circ. (Handwritten in ink) ps. Kindly return these two letters with your reply JAS [James A Smyth?] Transcribed by Greg Floyd |
