Transcript | Cloney House Knocknacarry Co. Antrim 30-VI-24 Dear Sir I have great pleasure in giving a letter of reference to this young man James McKay who intends emigrating to U.S.A. His father is a farmer whose land adjoins that of my own home & I naturally know the boy and his people very well and have known them since I remember. The young man him self is one of a large family well known & estimated for their modesty and honesty, He is a lad who will be capable of earning his livelihood any where that there is work to be performed, as he has been a very wise & industrious worker since he left school. I am quite certain that he will make a very worthy citizen of the great country to which he proposes to emigrate Yours Faithfully James Mc Sparron B.A. B.L. L.L.B |
