Dear Sir,
Motz & Lord Caledons Estate

We are obliged by your favor communicating the decision at
which yourself and Mr Smyley [Smiley?] have arrived upon this claim,
a copy of which we shall transmit to Mr.Motz with an expression of our
own opinion that on a close examination of the letters
transmitted in support of this claim we are constrained to admit
that we think them anything but conclusive of any admission of
the amount he claims being due and that we cannot therefore
advise his taking any further steps in a claim which now appears
to us quite hopeless. We have also received the letters [7?] and
quite appreciate the decision at which you have arrived in not
seeing Mr.Bis [Bischoff?]
We remain,dear Sir,
Yours truly

Mr.J.Alexander Esq. Bischoff, Coxe, Bumpas.
