| Transcript | Petaluma Dec 15th 1915 Dear Mother It's such a long time since I heard from any of you. I often wonder you never write I wrote a long time ago But never got any answer My mother also hasn't answered my last letter of nearly a year ago, probably the Boat they were on was sunk By the Germans How does the war affect you over there. I hope they dont have to start conscription I wonder often If any of my Brothers have enlisted I hope not. It is such a terrible war How is Sam getting along in the Store Business. I guess his Baby must Be quite a good size now. We are all well here Gordon Goes to Grammar school & I expect all well to send Edna By next August they are Both Growing fast the Baby was 16 months on first of the month. We call him Samuel Ancrum he'es [he is?] a fine little chap has been Walking for quite a while. J.C. Armstrong live about three miles from here they go past here about three times Every week. the Boys are getting Big. two of them are through with school we're having very nice weather for this time of the year the winters here are usually very good compared to some of the Eastern states We were all down to see the Fair a few times it was Well worth Going to see. the net proceeds were over a million dollars it paid beyond, all of their Expectations. Its the first time I ever was at a Worlds fair so I must say I enjoyed it How are all of the Girls also Ben, are any of them Married yet. I heard Mrs Armstrong of Markethill was dead, is Susan Armstrong still in the Store, remember me to her when you see her. Well I Guess I will draw to a Close at present hoping you are all well.
