Transcript | Dear Joseph I received your very interesting letter indeed cousin and will soon as put in posession of the state of your account give your particular I.O.U. for the 10/6. My father and all the family feel much obliged for your kindness in forwarding the "Advocate". Should you keep it yourself send us one for which I will give you Cr [Credit?] I suppose 10/8 same as Mrs Kelly's. I send [sent?] your order to New York for œ1. This will pay for two hymn books one by the South and one the North. The new ones and Sunday school [_____?] periodicals or small books that could not be [____?] weights [____?] be good and cheap a book 2 oz can be sent for 2 and I send you this œ1.0.0. for you to send me say weeklys or every mail some one or other of these things until it is done. If the hymn books can be sent by post it would do very well. If not you may [___?] one coming in some time. But the others you can read and send me. Christmas is past at that time as think of all our asbent friends. My cousin alice died in Boston Decr [December?] poor Sally feels her loss to her very heart. Thanks be to our Heavenly Father we have all been preserved here to see 1850. What changes will this year bring round? Many no doubt as far as our souls are concerned may they all be for the better. Mr Quinn is married to some person in Omagh - a good match I believe any word with yourself. I thought it would have been before now. I am thinking about it but __[am?] timid put off too much even in this. Will you be over in Summer all well? Things are going on much as usual here not much to notice in meetings & teetotal meetings. I make speeches now & once Irish preach with long lesson to your cousin John Montgomery. Love from Mrs Kelly & all the family. R. and A. J. Moore & family are all well. Don't pay your letters.
