Transcript | Portadown 15 Sept 1853 Dear Joseph I have been expecting to hear from you for some time past with regard to the sheetings shipped so long ago. I think they should be sold by this time or at least we should have heard something about them whether they are likely to sell or no. I wrote you on a former occasion what some few pieces had been sold at here and I think they should bring considerably more with you. If you have realised on any lot I would prefer in preference to you paying for exchange to ship me some article that at least could realise freight and charges in Liverpool. I have another small lot ready and would have shipped them before this if I had heard from you. I hope soon to get from P McConnell the documents relating to the property in Tandragee. The above named goods are advanced very confidently here and great enquiry from your side for them. Your affect [affectionate?] cousin Mr J M Searight William Montgomery Philada [Philapelphia?] |
