Transcript | Newtown Sept 26th 1879 Dear Cousin Ellen I have been thinking of writing to you this long time, as I promised to write & let you know how I liked this country & every thing [everything?], I am here a year now & like it very well, I did not like it at all when I first come here but I am got used to it & like it a great deal better, it is very hot here in summer I have been in the country all summer, but I am going back again to Philadelphia in a week or two as I would rather live in the city, I had some thoughts of going home again this fall but I am not going after all Tillie is out in California now with James she went last May after her husbands death, I miss her very much, I would have gone out along with her, only it takes so much money for a passage out there, that we had not enough to take us both I suppose you have Willie at school this summer, he must be getting quite a big boy now. Dear Ellen I was very sorry to hear of your brothers death at that time, you will have got somewhat over it now, but I am sure you miss him very much Let me know how your #PAGE 2 Mother is, & if she still lives in Cullion. I hear that Susan Riley has come out here to Boston I wonder if she likes it, I have not got her address or I would write to her Dear Ellen I hope you will write soon & let me know how you are all getting along, I often think of you, I expect you be still down in Loughnease [Loughneas?] sometimes Remember me to "up street" folks. I send my love to Cousin William & to little Willie and yourself Hoping to hear news from you soon. I Remain Your affectionate Cousin Lizzie Moore dd care of [?] Hutchinson [?] [South St?] [Philadelphia?] |
