Transcript | Portadown 31st May 1854 Dear Joseph I have your favour a few days since and while I may say that in one sense it considerably alayed our fears respecting the health of your good Cathy (we were beginning to think your Delay in writing was caused by her death) in another respect it greatly disappointed and vexed me from a former note I did expect a remittance in ten days and I never looked for money with greater anxiety as I had just at that time to lift a Bad Bill for [?] 330 and the usual payments and the bank [Icrew?] as low as it can be put down I constantly was greatly anoyed when I opened your letter and found it a blank May I lay to you [?] when you get this if possible I see by this day news that money is easier and perhaps you can do better now Wm [William?] and I will consider your attention in favour Yrs [Yours?] Robt [Robert?] Moore |
