Transcript | Hill House Rossnowlagh Oct 14th 20 Dear Sir writing you a few lines as I promised arrived here Tuesday night the motor for [Charalane?] was late at Kesh so I know I should be late for Donegal to [---?] but had my bicycle, [was?] [there?] & had plenty of time to go out before dark. No one here except Mr Cathcart from Larne before Pettigo the inhabitants seem to be better on with their work than you people in Fermanagh they have their corn saved except a small patch or two most of their hay stacked & working hard gathering up the remainder of it mostly their bean crop cut too. I [expect?] the lack of visitors gave them more time for their work the old man at Biddy just here He is very deaf & does not see well either Miss [Hutton?] has taken over the farm & all He has just his own house & garden & they buy their milk from Mr Patterson there is some rain here [last?] [night?] but its fine today it was Miss Peacocks [mind?] gave way. hope you have all your corn very good weather [---?] [----? If I think [-----?] about [-----?] [----?] [-----?] Yrs [Yours?] Nora I might say with birthday some fine day |
