We are all well here at present but I was very bad my self [myself?] this last week with a sore throat I could hardly speak but It is a lot better this day Thank God. I think it was cold I got coming over in the Boat and It just came with me now. Well. I was glad to get your letter as you send so much news in it Side 2 Its terrible to think of the Hughes being away I thought Maggie would not go without Mick Devine but I suppose some one [someone?] was saying the same about myself. I hope your Mother and Johny is well. I often thought of her when my throat was sore. She was so lucky I was saying if I was at home It would be run for Biddy I hope them times will all come again Well This is Halloweve [Halloween?] night its the first Halloeve [Halloween?] I have ever been from home. I think It long enough But Uncle Mick and his wife came here and his son Side 3 John C Donnelly and his wife We had great music but still I think of last year when we run to your house with a mouthful of water and we made such a noise on the street that you came out I hope P McKillen is well not forgetting his comrade James Patt. I suppose John is away by this time Its [Its?] terrible I hate to think of him going so far. I hope the [they?] are all well at home We see Minnie McCrystals [McCrystals?] boy often He is a nice fellow. Thats Mr Ward that was home. Well tell Johny that If I was Side 4 near him Id [Id?] give him a talking to but this paper is so short and Im [Im?] so far away that I have no room for m scolding and I know very well that he has no time to write But tell him to leave Johns [Johns?] Mary Ann behind for one evening and sit down and send me all the news Tell Mrs Mc Crystal and Minnie also Rose Ann and Mary Farnan that I was asking for them I have not much more to say at present I suppose Minnie had the Tolan boys before this as I heard.
