| Transcript | Milwaukee, Nov. 18th 1897 Dear Uncle, I suppose you thought I had forgotten you entirely. I have been very busy finishing up things around the building which were not in the contract and moveing [moving?] in and getting settled which was quite a task but now it is all over and I am glad of it we have a very comfortable home of nine rooms with all modern convenience Inclosed [Enclosed?] you will find a poem from Father after four trials he wrote this one which is the only one that could be read he says you will know it when you see it Father is feeling very well at present his appetite is good and his mind seems to be all right his limbs does not improve any and he does not look for any improvement in them he can read enough to help pass away the day the weather turned out very cold the next day after we moved in and has been below the freezing point most of the time since but we look for some nice weather before winter sets in I had a letter from Alexander in which he spoke of himself as being in good health I had written one two days before I received his which I suppose he had not received at the time of writing I will write to him this week if all is well you asked for the family record in one of your letters here it is on the opposite side from you [your?] Nephew Robert Patterson Jr. Robert Patterson Jr. Born July 17, 1852 Married Nov. 27th 1879 Nellie B.
