Transcript | To Thomas Greer, Merchant In Dungannon Ireland p [per?] Frind via London [ship letter?] 1/2 [manuscript postage paid 1s. 2d.?] Esteemed Friend Thomas Greer Philadelphia 12th of 6 mo:1770 [-?]12 [12 Jun 1770?] 1770 I have thy favour of 24th of 2nd mo. [February?] and as by the last advices we have from London, it doth appear any Prospects that part of the Revenue Acts the Duty on Tea, will be Repealed this Sessions of Parliament at which the Merchants, & indeed the whole body of the People both here, Newyork [New York?] & Boston, are so displeased that they are determined to continue their agreement not to Import any Goods from Great Britain, but as by the said agreement, liberty is given to Import Linnens [linen?] from Ireland directly, must desire thee in case the acts laying a Duty on Tea to be paid in America be not Repealed, so ship me p [per?] first good opportunity directly from Ireland, all the Linnen [linen?] I wish for in mine of the 30th of 11 mo; last.
