I have thy favour of 24th of 2nd mo. [February?]
and as by the last advices we have from
London, it doth appear any Prospects
that part of the Revenue Acts the Duty on
Tea, will be Repealed this Sessions of
Parliament at which the Merchants, &
indeed the whole body of the People both
here, Newyork [New York?] & Boston, are so displeased
that they are determined to continue their
agreement not to Import any Goods from
Great Britain, but as by the said agreement,
liberty is given to Import Linnens [linen?]
from Ireland directly, must desire thee
in case the acts laying a Duty on Tea to
be paid in America be not Repealed, so
ship me p [per?] first good opportunity directly
from Ireland, all the Linnen [linen?] I wish for
in mine of the 30th of 11 mo; last. [30 Nov ?]
Please to give the shipping them all the despatch
thou can, that they may be here as early
as possible in the fall. I am with much
Respects Thy assured Frd [Friend?]
John Reynell
