Transcript | CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY, No. 19 East Fourth Street, New York, August 6th, 1872. Dear William, I am sorry you are going to leave the city but I hope you will succeed well in the far West. I have no doubt from my knowledge of you but that you will endeavour to do your upmost to please your employers. I have known you for a long time since you were almost a child and during that time I have never known an action of yours that was not honourable & right.
