Transcript | th Detroit Oct – 26 1891 Miss Weir I now answer your very welcome letter. I am always so glad to hear from you all I have been miserible [miserable?] during that wet cold snap with neuralgia, But am better now, Lizzie is just wild with toothache I was just saying to her when you came in to have you or Miss Harrison go with her and have them out. How are you yourself I write to Miss H. [Harrison?] now too, Well James is well he is coming up tomorrow I must cox [coax?] him up to get his picture taken again, [No?] Johns they are'nt [aren't?] going to have a christening like Paddy's They never have no christenings like they [the?] folks used to have at home. I think we'll have our's christened that way for fun I wrote to my friend to send the next edition of [Bady?]. I wish it was here, If I had wrote I might had 2 or 3 (sic) by this time. You say crops are poor in the old country this year. Well round our part the crops are an abundant yield this year although it has been a very wet year, So dont despair. When we go we will get all we want if it is lots of good potatoes and buttermilk wont we have a gay time I wish Miss Harrison was going with us Yes that Parnell the rascal Ireland will be well rid of him, And Mrs O.Shea the papers state that they think she will not get over his death I wont bother speaking about her or him. Tell me about your frind [friend?] which is more important how his pulses is heating (sic). How is your sister & husband getting along How are the folks getting along with their work now. I thought they were particular enough But sometimes you cant please the people. Do you think Miss Lovel or the others trying to run away would make them more particular examining. How is Mrs Dubois & Miss Roberts & Mrs Hibbard Lizzie says when are you coming in. She says tell you's there are going to be a grand Orange ball the 5th of november [Genis's?] hall Woodward Ave she has a bid to it. Theresa Smiths is going theres where you would have a good time any person can go its 1 dol per ticket. Its going to be grand I wish you and Miss Harrison could go Maggie is crazy to go to dance with O.Brien When you's come in again you's must see O.Brien & Mr Cain & have a good time I would like to see Miss Gadam when she was refused permison [permission?] Weir & Harrison would get it then but you could lay low & laugh in your slieve [sleeve?] at her I must stop write soon love to all & to yourself from Mary send all the news write soon good bye |
