| Transcript | Naas Co. Kildare June 19/72 [1872?] Dear Miss Gass What if you shd [should?] set about getting a new Pulpit Bible for bladymore Church? you require it. A beautiful one can be got for #1- 5- Open a subscription List I put my name down for 2/6. Just a little quiet effort among a few wld [would?] accomplish it, & it wld [would?] be a most pleasant reflection to yourself, in particular afterwards. I have mentioned the matter to no one & if you cld [could?] surprise the congregation some Sab. [Sabbath?] morning by its presence on the pulpit it might do no harm. I learned while there you were one of the most influential, you will therefore excuse my liberty. Our Bible here cost just #1-5-6 & is an excellent one. Hoping to have you calling upon me soon for my subscription believe me faithfully & sincerely yours. Jas. [James?] Shannon |
