Transcript | Naas July 5/72 [1872?] Dear Miss Gass Being in Dublin to-day I despatched by rail the Pulpit Bible to you, care of Station Master at Markethill to be kept till called for I trust it will arrive safe & that it may be in the hands of the Spirit salvation to every soul that hears it Cost #1-3-6 & whatever the carriage may be. Whatever you are short let me know. I think you shd [should?] have a Psalm Book, to correspond. You have done a good work & one that will bring no regrets. By all means let it be in the name of the Ladies of the Congregation & my Brother & they can fix on some suitable inscription. So far as I am aware My Brother is ignorant of the whole affair. Tell the Ladies I congratulate them every one upon the good spirit they have evinced & the success attendant. Kindest regards faithfully yours, Jas. [James?] Shannon Miss Gass, It is wonderful what can be accomplished by union! |
