Transcript | December 2 1879 San Francisco Dear Cousin Mary Ann, I have rote [wrote?] you letters and has got no answer And I would like to have a letter from you I send my love to you and to Aunt and to unkle [uncle?] and to Margaret and Lisa and to Thomas and Robert. I have a nice place her [here?] the have only one Daughter and She is not at home Since I am She is at a bording [boarding?] School and the man is never at home only at night he goes away after 10 [clock?] and comes home at five in the evening and I have not much work [---?] the only have a fire twist [sic] a day the have breakfast half [--?] after Seven and lunch at one O'Clock and Dinner at five And I have only to beds to mak [make?] and all the cloths is washed out the China [Chinese?] do all the washin [washing?] and all the Chines [Chinese?] have their hair cut off onley [only?] a lock on the back of their head and the have that plet [pleat?] and it hings [hangs?] Down their back and when the are working the most it wound their neck and all their Wifes [Wives?] wair [wear?] Cloths like the men and I saw black people and tommies and Jews and Germans and you would know what the Jews were Saing [Saying?] the were in tha Ship [shop?] that we were in and Saturday, was Sunday with them and the were [saying?] and you would think that the were a lot of Crows the noise that the made and [Anna?], I rote [wrote?] to your Margaret and sent my picture to her on the first of Novembe [November?] and I got no answer I need not Say aney [any?] more at preasant [present?] to I see if you get this letter if you get it right [write?] soon No 641 Folsom Street San Franisco Cal [California?] Ann Jane Sinclair 640 Folsom St [Street?] San Francisco Cal [Califoria?] that is my adress [address?] |
