Dear cousin
It is near time for me to write to you now after all
your kindness to me in the old country
Sam and I are often talking about you Mamma says that she will
send for you but Sam says that you could not come by yourself
for you would have too many tunnels to come through and
trains and waggons that you never would reach the length I
want to know do you see Jane or does she obsarve [observe?]
any any [sic] thing now Mamma went to San Francisco to see
Martha she is very fat and likes to live with Mrs Sinclair
very much she sent me a big doll and I call it for you Mary
Ann Annie and Mary is well Mary is taller than Annie now
Martha sends this little card and I send this Hankerchief
[Handkerchief?] to you Mamma says that she woul [would?]
send you the making of a pretty dress if she had a way of
sending it to you If I was talking to you now I could tell
you a good Deal for I obsarved [observed?] a lot since I
came here We are all in good health at present hoping that
this will find you all the same

I remain Your

affectionate cousin
