Transcript | 4550 John [St?] Vancouver B.C. [British Columbia?] 12 Aug 19 [1919?] Joshua E. Peel & Son Gentlemen, Reference sale of lands etc. of my deceased brother the Amounts forwarded to John Samuel & myself have been received. Please find three receipts enclosed. It was however unfortunate that the Amounts were not sent out by drafts in pounds shillings and pence sterling as we could have obtained a higher rate of exchange here than was given there. In my case in particular being a returned soldier I could have secured an exchange at practically par ($4. 86/100) or over 100 dollars more than the amount received. My brothers and I thank you for your kindness care and attention in handling the affairs of the estate yours faithfully J. Sloan |
