Dear Brother
I received yours and glad that you and family
are in good health. my health is but very Poorly at Present. I
keep very weak. I am gone very thin. I am sorry that you lost
the Law Suits. I had a letter from the Priest. he says it
would be foolishness to go to law to recover the money that
is out. I think you had better follow his advice.
I enclose a cheque for œ20-0-0 be pleased to pay
Father [Ollette?] excuse me writing to him at present this is
the last of the œ134-0-0 that I have gave to my friends and
not one cent for your own use. I must keep the little I have
in hand unto I see if I may get better. I want to provide for
Sister Mary I should not like her to fall back on James
Rodgers after my Decease.
I did not believe one word of Sister Sally
letter Knowing that you had none of Berneys money. Pleased to
write and ackknowledge receipt of the money. Excuse me
Writing you a long letter Perhaps I will be able to write
more fully next time.
With kind love to all the family I remain
your affectionate Brother
