Transcript | To: Mrs James Smith Moycraig From: Ballymoney Wednesday Evening Dear Mother I wish to inform you of A plan that I have thought of pursuing & it is as follows, that I think it might bee [be?] A very good plan to try & get Jane Gray to come to me And that her and Mary J Could Doo [Do?] in the house if I were not present And that if Mary J would need to go home At Any time that some of the rest could come in As any of them could Doo [Do?] when She would bee [be?] Constant there As I would not like to leave one or two of them either their lones to the rude insults of ones that wee [we?] must bear if wee [we?] hold sutch [such?] A situation And As She was Accustomed A little to the buisness [business?] I think that is the best way that I Can Doo [Do?] As I never could get one hands turn Done if I were kept in this way but wee [we?] can see About it when I Am home but I Assure you that I Cannot get one thing Done As yet for I Am Affraid [Afraid?] to bee [be?] out Any length of time for the [there?] Are some Able hooks here and rcuire [require?] to bee [be?] watched NB I want William to take the rest of the pottle barls [barrels?] & wash it well and send it in on the Middle Market day for to hold water & if ever the recuire [they require?] one for the same purpose I will get them one And you will bring one other square bottle with you And the lock that Robt [Robert?] brought home with him, the rest can bee [be?] ready to come here on the Market Day to see how the [they?] will like it, R.J sends his love to his Grand Ma Miss & the whole of you And says that hee [he?] would stay here All the time, he sends his Grand Ma, And his Unckle [Uncle?] William rose buds A piece And his love to Wm [William?] And he would like to see his Gr.
