Transcript | [no envelope] [incomplete letter] [information on photos of South Woodslee] South Woodslee Nov 19th 1891 Dear Father Mother Sisters & Brothers I once more take the pleasure of writing to you all I received Bella Maggie [sic] letter last night and Father's on the 2nd the night I posted the last one to William We are all in good health here and glad to hear that you are all well for myself I have not had as much as a headache since I came here and I [page 2] am as heavy now as ever I was. They got the Picture of the House taken in September. got it in two views. a near one and a far off one, we mailed them last week They. are sending two to all their relations one of each sort. We sent your's [yours?] and Aunt Matilda both together we thought they would go safer I suppose you will know some of the people that is [sic] standing in front of the house, we are all there the one that is bent down is the hired man he had [page 3] He is holding the horses in the second picture: the [there?] are 19 windows in this house and 23 doors the [there?] are 7 windows in the front side five in the gable And four in each of the other gable [sic] Sarah a [&?]Cass is standing in front of the Hall door the [there?] are steps going up to it, there is another door to the right side of Cass [Cassie?] the [there?] are four door [doors?] [that?] goes [go?] in from the outside the other two [are?] in the backside The [There?] are two windows in the gable (high up) the one above the Hall [page 4] Door is my Bedroom the other is a spare bedroom thats [that is?] one kept for visitors and such like only one Bed in each room if you were in one of them it would dazzel [dazzle?] your eyes. I think I have give [given?] you enough new [news?] about the house. I see you did not win the Lawsuit after all if you all dont watch it you might louse [lose?] it yet John McFarland was there when it commenced and was in Australia and back again and not finished and I might [letter incomplete] |
