Transcript | [no envelope] [Incomplete Letter] South Woodslee Dec 28th 1891 Dear Parents Once more I take the pleasure of writing to you I received your last letter on the 17th inst and I got the note book on Saturday night the [they?] are not the third of the note book now as I gave it away We are all well here at present Annie and Sarah both came home on Tuesday night last I dont [sic] know how long they will stay. There was not very much fun here on Christmas no shootings or anything like that here There was only one fall of snow here yet and it did [Page 2] not stay very long it is a very nice winter for so far they use slays [sleighs?] in this Country always when there is snow We all working in the woods now a fellow has got to be able to handle the axe and the Cross cut saw as well as as every thing else Mary is right in the way she says we are standing she knows all of us you wanted to know what sort of a play we were at it is what they call Croquet it is played by mallets and balls striking the balls through arches it is a very nice play that is what we were at in the …….
