Ontario Canada [Stamped] NEWTOWNSTEWART [--?]PM [?] [Written at top] received July 10th 1899 Studying History [Back of Envelope] [Stamped] PLUMBRIDGE A JU 30 9 [Stamped] ESSEX JU10 99 ONT Castledamph June 30th 99 Dear Brother I suppose you are preparing very hard for your Examination by this time you say you will be working on the 12 July That would be a great punishment to me if I had to do it but I suppose you can't get over it we are for Plumbridge tomorrow 1st July Mrs McLauglin wants the band to play God Save The Queen. They are to be gathered at 3.30 to start at first [Page 2] I have not been in Gortin this week and I told them all yesterday I think we are going to celebrate the Battle of the Boyne at Lifford this year They [there?] will be a district meeting here tomorrow night to make arrangements I suppose they [there?] will be a cheap tram run on the 12 for the accasion [occasion?] Omagh District is for Carrickmore They will celebrate the 12 there [Killymam?] and the Surrounding Districts will be at Dromore Co Tyrone is to be all in Derry again 12 August we are going there if spared to that time [Page 3] well now I think I cant give you much more news about the 12th than I have Joseph gilkison [Gilkinson?] is coming on the 9th to get married to a girl in Strabane. If its been I dont know whether it is or not Matthew Smyth is home out of the infirmary again he came on [Sunday?] the leg all right [alright?] again but he can't leave it no [on?] the ground We have got our Turnips all in and our potatoes moulded up They are on the road breaking stone [sic] today we did not get the turf gathered yet The wee house you were talking about in the grove [Page 4] is all tumbled Except one bit of a wall we tumble a [at?] it one year after rats and we never put it up again I suppose all the high buildings you put up you mind them all yet it was you and father built the [stall?] It will be standing when all the other we [wee?] houses are down you were talking about a bicycle I wanted to get one this year but it failed me as soon as ever to get money of my own Ill get one I hope that wont be long.
