Transcript | Royal Oak oct 19 1891 Dear friend Annie i [I?] am ashamed to think that i [I?] have not ancerd [answered?] your kind letter that i [I?] receved [received?] so long ago but i [I?] hope to be forgaven [forgiven?] i [I?] have thought of you all the time and thought that i [I?] would write for chure [sure?] on sunday and sum thing [something?] seemed to hinder me every time it has been such hot weather and i [I?] have been so beasey [busy?] between sickens [sickness?] and tending to babys [babies?] that i [I?] dont get time for much ells [else?] i [I?] have a nice blick [black?] eyed lettle [little?] baby girl she will be three mounths [months?] old the 26 of this mounth [month?] i [I?] call her Marie Jan [Mary Jane?] after her tow [two?] godmothers May is a wild roump [romp?] she taks [takes?] more car [care?] than the baby well Annie Mother has not moved yet and not move this winter and if she can stay heare [here?] untill [until?] spring thay [they?] will be able to make a good pament [payment?] on the place that thay [they?] bouth [bought?] and thay [they?] will move thar [there?] mother has been very pooley [poorly?] all summer but she has had to work very hard she has had 4 and 5 man [men?] to bord [board?] all the time since the spring she would of been glad to of seen you if you had come to see her she wishes that she had that warm coat that you ware [were?] going to give her now when it is so cold you could send it if you could not com [come?] down well Annie i [I?] hope that Ball [Bell?] had marred [married?] well i [I?] hard [heard?] that you and Willey Bell is going to be marred [married?] this fall is it true well Annie you wanted one of Franks pictures but he has not had any taken so long that i [I?] have not got one but if all is well this winter wee [we?] will have sum [some?] taken and then i [I?] will think of you i [I?] dont know as i [I?] (sic) have any more to write this time so will close as it is getin [getting?] late Mother and Andrew send ther [their?] kind love to you and hope to see you soon write soon and let us know how you are and send all our love and best wishes to Bella when you write to her so goodby with love write soon your freind [friend?] Mary B |
