Transcript | Southfield Jan th 1891 Dear Anna I recieved [received?] your kind letter and was glad to hear from you I am sorry you have to stay right there all the time I should think you would want to come out once in a while Anna I have shewd [showed?] my present to lots of girls and wemmen [women?] and they say that it is the prettiest they have seen yet. My you must have had a nice time when all the patients were masked. I would just liked to have seen them I suppose they acted to [too?] redicules [ridiculous?] for any thing didint [didn't?] they. Yes Wills finger is almost well but it is quite tender yet I was down to [Lons?] Sunday I worked her baby a white dress in [red?] and it was just as pretty as it could be and then I worked her one of blue checked she thought it was just nice Ma did get down to Mrs Jacksons last Tuesday afternoon she said Mrs Jackson was so supprised [surprised?] at seeing her. she said she had gave up looking for her at all. Anna you must excuse poor paper and poor ink and poor writing is the worst of all Well the Carson boys are comming [coming?] down to spend the evening to night Maby [maybe?] you know Charlie Carson he is the [sic] that draws he can draw just as natural as life I wish I could draw one half as nice as he can he drawed [drawn?] a bird on the blackboard over in troy two years and it is there yet there [wont?] any one rub it out (sic) Well I must close for this time hoping to hear from you soon I remain as ever Your true friend Edna |
