Dear friend Anna

I recieved [received?] your kind
letter and was glad to hear
from you but cannot say that
we are all well. Henry has been
sick and so have I but am
well now.
Yes Annie we would
all be very glad to see you
[Stained] I [stained] [stained] [stained]
I saw you last.
I did not go
any where this [7th?] until night
and then went to Franklin where
I had a splendid good time
Well now I dont think
Dollie is one half as good as
you are if she is Mrs Henning
No Annie it was Mr.
Render himself that got killed
Yes Ma is quite well nowadays
I suppose it was a grand
sight for you to Lake-side
I would have liked to gone but
Will was busy in the wheat and
could not leave
Annie we put up
129 qts of cherries and berries
in one week.
Well Annie I am glad
to hear your sister is married
but Annie do not despair your
time is to come and you will
be happier when it does come
than if you had been married
these last [5?] years dont you
think so.
Annie you will think I am
never going to send you my
picture wont you but Will &
I are coming up to pontiac
some day this summer and get
our pictures taken
Mr Castle's folks have
got either a piano or an organ
and I dont know which but
I see it down there I
suppose Jemmie and the boys will
be quite musicians some day
That is if they learn as fast
as they do at school. what do
you think about it.

Well Annie I suppose you
will be out before long
I will be right glad to
see you any time

Excuse pencil for I was
to [too?] lazy to make any ink
and I send my love to
you with my BIG Kiss. X

Remember me And dont forget
The naughtiest girl
You ever met
Edna Spicer
