Transcript | [Tubrid?] /[Kesh?] March 9th / 03 Dear Annie I was quite surprised to get your letter this morn - I would have written to you before but had nothing to write except what you know Johnnie told me coming down here that night that he could not stay if they were there but I tried to make him understand why we wished it to be so but we must just do the best we can and trust in God it has been a [torn] trial from the beginning and dear knows [torn] [when?] it will end I have often [torn] the past couple of weeks [torn] about what you say about your old nurse in one way it would seem the best thing but of course the Dr. might have to be there as well - I have some old things but have not time now to get them but if you could manage to send to post on Wednesday morn - I will try to night & collect them perhaps you wont find them much use but at any [torn] you may do just what [torn] [torn] with them I hope Johnnie was not any the worse for the storm on Sunday I got home here all right before the snow & I gave Johnnie my umbrella to take back with him Glad to know the children and all are well also Gran I do not know what to say about having here [her?] there you will have to decide that yourself now [torn] close for the post [torn] in a few minutes Yours truly Rose |
