Dear Sister we received
your kind & welcome letter yesterday &
were glad to hear that your [you are?] well
The weather is calm & fine at present
we are preparing for the
examinations so you see I go to
school every day and so does John
and Maggie. There are not many
at school at present only
about an average of 40 schoolars [scholars?]
there are no one in 6th class But
Annie Oliver & R & Wm [William?] Henry But
he is monitor examination
will on 23rd following they
are not many children in the
neighbourhood Maggie and
John and Bob and Jane attends the
Church school every [sunday?]
Mr Williamson is able to teach
yet & Miss [Atthill?] She says she
sent you a letter did you get
it the neigbours are nearly
all done ploughing now But
we have ploughed none yet
neither has Uncle John Grandma
is well & Aunt M.J & John
we are getting the house
thatched so we have John
Corrigan yet every day we
have had a great storm of
wind last week and beginning
of this one but we had no
harm done with it we have
the house yet So Now
Good Bye I have time to write
no more
