Transcript | July 31st 1890 Engine Co. No 2 820 K. St Fresno Dear Annie I recieved [received?] your kind & welcome letter yesterday & glad to find that you were well Hoping that this will find you enjoying the same blessing as it leaves me at present. I was glad to hear of you having such a nice time with the Firemen I only wish I had been there I think we could enjoyed (sic) ourselves. I was beginning to think you had forgot to write I was going to write yesterday to see if you were still alive but I thought I would give you a few days more to see if it would come your Ideas & mine comes pretty near corresponding I was figuring out my time in California to the first of next June & get home in time for the 12th of July they were expecting me home for this 12th but you know I could not make it that leaves me ten months that is if I dont get Killed or hurt so I hope you will come out to Stockton & we can have an uppertunity [opportunity?] of meeting & talking the matter over previous & then we could take our tickets right through on which ever route we would think fit but we can arrange that later on as it is not necessary now.... |
