Transcript | Fresno. Cal [California?], June 20th 1892 My Dear Annie I was very glad to see your kind note but it made me feel lonely to think that you were going away alone I have been very busy haying for the past few weeks I am just going out on the thrasher tomorrow to be gone about 35 or 40 days But I hope to have a return from you before I get back. I have sold the fruit on the trees to a chinaman there is only about an acre of Orchard I sold it for 105 Dollars I think I am going to come out all right the weather is very warm here now it was as high as [112?] today Apricots & peaches are in full swing now how I would just like to be home now what a Jolly time we would have among the old neighbours but if all goes well I hope to meet you at the worlds fair next year trusting that you will stand true to your colors until then it makes me feel rather lonesome to think of you crossing the atlantic all alone if you only could have waited until next Summer I think it would have been much pleasanter for the two of us but I hope it is all for the best hoping that you will let me know all the particulars I wont write much this time until I see if this goes all right I shall be thinking how you shall enjoy yourself on the 12th of July hoping that you shall have a jolly good time I am Just thinking how David Clement will by squinting at you well I must say good night as it is getting late with fondest regards your ever loving Willie goodbye for a while |
