Weyman Fitchburg Massachusetts United States Fitchburg Dec [December?] 22nd 1895 Could G.H.A. who compiled the Savage family aid me in hunting my ancestors of that name (Savage) in Northern Ireland and kindly write me his terms for so doing Edward Savage, said to have been a french Hugenot [Huguenot?] and to have taken refuge in Ireland where he died leaving a widow and three sons. John, Abraham, and Edward. Mrs. Savage married again either Anthony or John Hamilton, and came to Rutland, Worcester County Massachusetts in 1717. Her three sons by her first husband Edward, John and Abraham Savage. John Savage was Chief Justice of New York State. If you can aid me in any way kindly write me your terms for so doing and oblige M.L. Weyman. |
