My Dr [Dear?] Sir
My past respects were dated
about 9th June which I hope you will
receive before this reaches yours yesterday
I Recd [received?] yours of 12th May I Bought [phu?]
which arrived here in 39 days and I hate its [coul-euts?]
you speak of an additional Duty as hirng [hiring?]
but the U. states [U.S.A.?] which did not as yet take place
I see you have passed the English Bill as [hi?] whch
[which?] was rather looking down at the time and
also the sales of 200 Barrel, you made
which I am glad of as the U. [U.S.A.?] have
there [their?] own for next season I have not
yet had any settlement from T. Fays [Fay?] yet only
One pounds P-auesed [passed?] here œ50 out of the
Prothand [Protestant?] Bill he intends Stoping [stopping?] here for
some time and has rented a steer to commence in
the botteling [bottling?] Wine also he will do
something in the Rum Trade I intied [entered?]
to, [H?] and the Buisness [business?] to an attorney has [as?]
I feare [fear?] thins [this?] Place if he does not
settle in some Measure to my satusfaction [satisfaction?]
I cannot saye [say?] his person Except I
Sure an [and?] I am afraid he is going to leave

for his goods to any amount only
the spring term is now one
