| Transcript | Kalamazoo June 8th 1891 Miss Annie Weir. Dear Frind [friend?] I received your kind and wellcome [welcome?] letter this morning and was glad to hear from you also glad to hear that you are well. I was up to the Asylum on Saturday afternoon haveing [having?] a look around it his [is?] different all together [altogether?] to what the E.M.A. his [is?] the Buildings are not the same and I went up to the Center and I saw the head Docter [doctor?] and I had quite a talk to him and I asked him when he thought there would be an opening and he said Docter [Doctor?] Burr was going to be hear [here?] on Wed 10th and he would let me has [as?] quick has [as?] he could (sic) I have to splendid reckamends [recommendations?] from the E.M.A. I was in the office about an our [hour?] talking to him I think he his [is?] a nice man they have a very nice chappel [chapel?] there it his [is?] a new one well about [Call?] of cause [course?] I would like to go there but my sister dose [does?] not want me to go there she crayed [cried?] when I left her and I told her if I got a place a [at?] Kalamazoo I would not go but I shall now soon of cause [course?] Å“50 Dollars his [is?] something to pay to the Railroad Company when any one has worked hard for it your money his [is?] your Frind [friend?] when noboddy [nobody?] ells [else?] will be Annie really I don't know what his [is?] the matter with Mr Chestnuts he his [is?] just the kind of a man I once told you about he dose [does?] not care the snap of his Finger for Lettie and she thinks he his [is?] just the stuff So your Sister his [is?] going to leave Stocton [Stockton?] were [where?] [be?] she going to next Annie when you write to here [her?] tell here [her?] that I can't write because I am not settled yet and give my best love to here [her?] and tell here [her?] I ham [am?] keeping that place for her yet if she will except it you remember .... |
