| Transcript | July 8th 1891 Kalamazoo Asylum Mich [Michigan?] Miss Annie Weir Dear Friend I received your Wellcome [welcome?] letter this afternoon and was glad to hear from you I had a letter from Miss A. Harrison the other day and I am going to write to hear [her?] this evening so you both will get them togather [together?] well Annie I suppose you will soon be going home I wrote to your Sister about 2 weeks ago and I have not heard yet Miss A Harrison was telling me that you whent [went?] to Chirch [Church?] all alone I am sorry that I was not there now Annie if ever you come this way why give me a call I would be very glad to see you at any time I have not seen Miss Allen only at Chirch [Church?] one Sunday after noon and I could not speak to here [her?] there she came in with the Patients well I now [know?] what it his [is?] to be anattendant [an attendant?] now what I did not now [know?] before this Building his [is?] not Built the same way as Pontiac Asylum there are too [two?] seppart [separate?] Buildings they are quite aways appart [apart?] and they have too [two?] Centers [centres?] one in each Building and the boys his [is?] not aloud [allowed?] to go on the ladyes [ladies?] side except on bussiness [business?] you was [were?] telling me in your (sic) that it had been very warm at Pontiac it his [is?] nearly like fall hear [here?] well Annie I dont think I could ever get the ones I wanted but if ever I do I hope she will be a good one I am not hard to to (sic) please [it?] it his [is?] not Beauty I go for it is comfort after (sic) so if I get a bad one you shall have your claim I wish you had your claim on me instead of the one you like better Well about the 4 of July hear [here?] it was very dull hear [here?] we had a little ice cream and lemmonade [lemonade?] on the Halls and we had the Patients out in the afternoon and I got a good kick in the shinns [shins?] my legg [leg?] his [is?] black yet but I can stand it if the rest can we have a tuff [tough?] lot we have some funn [fun?] at eight o clock bedtime I suppose you now [know?] what it his [is?] So now I want you to write and let me now [know?] where ever you go and I will answer it so I think this his [is?] all at present from your Frind [friend?] George So by by.
