My Dear Sir
I this morning have taken the liberty
of giving Mr James Leary of New York a letter of introduction
to you. He is a young gentleman of wealth and good social
position. He visits Ireland on a pleasure trip, and may call
on you during his stay.
I left Georgia last month our mutual friends the Caskeys are
well. Our dear departed ones Messrs Bones, Bryson, and Robt
Campbell are missed greatly. My wife Mary Bones Clarke by
maiden name, daughter of the late Samuel Clarke is insain
[insane?] and is confined in an asylum for three years. She
is out of the asylum but will never be restored to mental
health. Mr Harper Bryson informed me that there was insanity
on her Father's side of the family. Samuel Clarke's father,
I believe married an Orr. The Orr family were troubled with
mental diseases. Will you please inform me if you know whether
or not this is true. I trust you are well and happy. Please
send me your photograph. Can I [send?] you in New York or
Washington. I shall spend the winter in Washington. My
address however will be care Guys Hotel, Baltimore [---?]
I shall be happy to hear from you. My mother is quite well.
My brotherlaws [brother-in-laws?] Thos [Thomas?] and Robert
Clarke sons of Samuel Clarke are in business in Atlanta and
quite well off, they are good true men. Hoping to hear from
you soon.
I am Dear Sir
very truly yours
Thos [Thomas?] T Wright
