Transcript | Dear Matty New York 9 Feby [February?] 1788 Annexed you have copy of mine of the 14 & 19th past & since remains without hearing from you the Novr [November?] pacquet being not yet arrived. Mr Norris writes me the 31st Octr [October?] that you had Drawn on him for One thousand pounds the money in his hands, therefore hope you have finaly [finally?] settled with Mrs Clark tho from what he mentions I did not expect she woud [would?] be so light with regard to the [mode?] of payment, however shall be pleased to hear you have got it finished. We have had a very Severe Winter here.
