Transcript | Dear Matty I am this Moment favord [favoured?] with yours of the 24 Decmr [December?]. It was Wm [William?] Scott he commanded the Ship Waddell which was here in 1775, The Minerva Capt Eccles shoud [should?] have been arrived when you wrote perhaps you omitted mentioning it, send the [Bess?] if any oppy [opportunity?] direct by him. I thought it was Jordan you mentioned not Gordon. I am much pleased to hear Mr Campbell is quit [quite?] recovered tell him so, Jack Young & his Wife are such [Characters?] that wish you or Sister may have nothing to do with them, unless you can recover my Money from them. I dont believe a word of what the [they?] mention. Tom Windsor writes the 16 Decmr [December?] to Mrs Bourdue & Co [Company?] that which he heard last from Mr Feltham 18 Novr [November?], he was at the Bell Inn Gloucester & proposed soon to visit a friend of his at Chester he said his Conduct to me has given him [any] [an?] [idea?] of him.
