Transcript | Dear Matty New York 6 Jan 1790 I wrote you a few lines the 10th past via London & have now the pleasure of your favors 29 Sept & 27 Octr [October?] the later long before the former I need not say any thing further about geting [getting?] from hence than that I am doing what I can to effect it soon in [summer?] I have just recd [received?] the [Cabinet?] & shall Credit Mr Morris for it & what you & Sisters had Mr Walton is much obliged to your attention about his Shirts, no doubt Mr Morris sent you the Mahogany, Capt Cheevers met with some difficulty at Liverpool & I understand was to goe [go?] to Newry, therefore hope he has sent you the [Hams?], if not youd [you would?] best write a friend in Newry to enquire [inquire?] about him. The Holmes has been a fortunate family, its a pity the [Loss?] of Lady Donegal Capt Hamiltons Fathers farm at Stockbridge I know very well, Mr Baillie is not got here yet I think your conduct with regard the Down [Election?] very proper, & am much obliged to Mr Ker [Kerr?] for his politeness, I suppose [Will?] [Harnsan?] died ritch [rich?]. The Brig Susanna will sail in a few days by whom [the?] articles I mentioned goes I have taken particular pains with the aples [apples?] as I understand they are scarce with you [love?] [f?] you & our Sisters on any returns of the present Season &c &c Pacquet HY [Hamilton Young?] Capt [Durry?] |
