Transcript | Dear Matty New York 11 July 1789 Annexed is copy of my last the [Cash?] of [Hams?] goes try by [-?] Capt. [Cheevers?] to Liverpool he will on his arrival there forward them by one of the Traders. I am also sending by the Ship Hibernia Capt. Scallon the finest piece of Mahogany I have seen this many years to care of Mr Norris to forward you, its 195 superficial feet he has advised me your remittance & the Gloves & Sheeting are arrived 15th. The 6 inst. I had the pleasure to receive your favor of the 28 April & the Ladies are much obliged to you for the above. I debtd [debited?] Mr Norris for your remittance & observe you have sent the Magazines by the [St James?] I apprehend they will find me here as she is dayly [daily?] expected. I hope Mr Isaac is got quite well [&?] [his?] [sisters?] [note?] is very flattering to me considering the long friendship I have experienced from that family. I intend [to?] find Alex Montgomery tho [though?] has inquired of many people from the North of Ireland. she shoud [should?] have been more particular, if you have an opportunity present my respects to her & that I will continue my inquiry while I stay. You are very welcome to the [Tabend?] & if Molly & Belle houses each one send for them & Charge it to my Accot [account?]. Its a fortunate circumstance for the Nation the Kings recovering & I always looked upon the Roman Catholics as good Subjects when properly treated. [Jeremy?] Hamilton must have his note he had improved his Estate much, no doubt Saml [Samuel?] Hyde will be the purchaser.
