| Transcript | Dear Matty            New York 23rd Septr. '89 Since writing you the 25 July [this?] Inst. I recd [received?] yours 23 June and can say nothing further about my leaving this, but that I am settling every [dependent?] as fast as I can. the [pacquets?] came at same time for Decmbr [December?] & Jany [January?] the Articles orderd [ordered?] I hope youl [you?] [will?] [send?] as shant [shall not?] order any more. I thank you for your [intended?] [remittance?] I regret to hear of Miss Isaac's indisposition & hope she is got better. There seems to be a great Combustion in France they are feeling what other Countrys has experienced by their interferance [interference?]. Its a great pity of the Poor who are so distressd [distressed?] for Bread. the Crops are good in this Country & I understand promise well in Ireland, from the demand for Grain I suppose the Tennants got good prices for theirs. I intend sending home some things this Winter that may house full [tons?] & perhaps a dozen Grafted [Trees?] but shant [Shall not?] be [speake?] Aples [apples?] untill Novr. [November?] & then perhaps I may know how they they [sic] are with you living H.Y. [Hamilton Young?] &c Pacquet Belfast &c Pacquet  |
