Transcript | Dr [Dear?] Matty New York, 20th Feb 90 [1790?] I wrote you the 18 Jny [January?] by this Conveyance since then have been made uneasy by finding the Gentlemen I employ in London has done a good deal of Business with France for fear of their suffering by the Troubles there They have no power to sell out any of my Stock in the [three?] [-Courts?], or can they do it without one, but they are in acct [account?] me [It?] cash 300 besides 150 I drew on them last Novem.r [November?] which there has not been time to hear of & there will half years dividend become due in July 154.10.0 What I woud [would?] wish to do is to get Wm [William?] Campbell to make some enquery [inquiry?], & if you find it obsolutely [absolutely?] necessary to take any proper Steps do it, & imidiatly [immediately?] advise me by differant [different?] oppys [opportunities?], I shall write you by the pacquet [packet?] & advise you what I say to them by [her?], youl [you?] [will?] be exceeding Secret in the enquery [inquiry?] for fear there shoud [should?] be no occasion for it I am [&c?] [&c?] Capt Hayes Belfast HY [Hamilton Young?] [&c?] Capt McMeakin 27 July The St James dont goe [go?] to Belfast, Mr Baillie not yet got her a Vessel from England who saild [sailed?] the 5th Jany is arrived here, nothing New.
