I take this opportunity of writing you a few Lines
By Captn Wm [William?] McKibbin of the Ship Phoenix Bound
to Canton But Probably will Touch at Cork where she will
Land her Cargo the Captn will come Down to Belfast to
See his Relations Captn Campbell is his Father in law he will
only be a few Days in Belfast he comands [commands?] one of the
finest ships from this Port and is a Credit to his
Country he has been here about sixteen years his
family and Ours has Been lntimate this twelve years
and like one family he has no pride or ostantation [ostentation?] about
him and any Atention [attention?] you may show him will
be to me avavour [a favour?] it grieves me to mention the
Death of our Eliza she Died Last April we are
all in good health and hoping you all Enjoy the same
Dear Brother your son William Expresses a wish to come
to this Country from a Letter he wrote to James and if
he Continues in the same mind I think the opportunity
favourable as James will Require a Partner who
understands the Buisness [business?] I think I shall give up nearly
the whole, if he should not Come Let him write Directly
so that he won't be Disapointed [disappointed?] and if he Comes Let him
Come in the first Ship Either for N. [New?] York Baltimore
or this City Jas [James?] writes By Captn Craig who Leaves
this Port in a few Days for Belfast I have been much
Disapointed [disappointed?] in Geting [getting?] no letters from Either Hugh
or your James I wrote to them Both there must be some cause
give my Kind love to all my Brothers & Sisters
and hoping these Lines may find you all in good
