I am working out now as you have heard before this on Crawford, since then we have moved about a block away on [Hillis?] Ave I never thought you would have stayed as long at the Asylum. Mamma is as well as ever now I have no fear that she will have to go back there again but only one above knows what will happen. Papa seems so cheerfull [cheerful?] he is like another man- since Mama came home. I was out in Southfield about the 1st of- August. Belle was down at Miss Taylors then that accounts for me not seeing her. Sophia Hall was at Mrs Jacksons then what has become of her. You know when I was down there at Mrs Bells - it was such rainy weather that I didnt go to see Mrs Jackson I hope Mrs Jackson wont think it ill of me for not going to see her I passed there as I was coming away but it was rainy and I was in a hurry so I didnt stop I will write to Mrs Jackson's as soon as I get my picture I got them taken Friday and I will get them Dec 27 Annie will you please give me one of your photos also one of Belles If you will send me one of each of yours and I will send one of mine to Belle & I think I gave one to you when I was out before how is the Law suit of Robert [Virtue?] you know he is trying to put in a Bill for work done at Aunt Mary I have not heard how it came off yet as I can think of no more I will conclude Yours truly M E Ling 229 [Hillis?] Ave Detroit |
